Embark on a Journey Through the Steps with Dr. Bob

Join us for a unique 5K walk/run experience like no other — a contemplative and fun journey through the Twelve Steps, set in the beautiful Florida outdoors with a scenic International Drive twist.

This isn’t just a race — it’s a celebration of recovery.

Along the course, every quarter mile reveals one of the Twelve Steps, offering moments for reflection, gratitude, and connection. It’s a tribute to the path that brought you — and so many others — to the beauty of sobriety.

The Story Behind the Name:

On the day of our practice run, organizers Brian and Marlon began with a small prayer — asking for guidance to create something meaningful for the recovery community.

But then, the unexpected happened.

As they were driving the route for the 5k, a car came toward them, driving the wrong way. It was 5 a.m., and the driver, disoriented and clearly lost, rolled down his window and asked for help. Marlon approached and gently asked for his name.

He replied, “Bob.”

From the back, Brian shouted, “Dr. Bob!”

They couldn’t believe it.

After guiding Bob safely back to his home — 20 minutes away — it became clear: this was more than coincidence. It was a sign.

From that moment, we knew — the event would be called “A Journey Through the Steps with Dr. Bob.”

Because sometimes, the universe sends a little reminder of how far we’ve come… and who helped us get here.
